Opening Day Holiday Petition Crosses First Hurdle
In late February, Budweiser and Ozzie Smith started the charge for baseball's opening day to become a national holiday. On Friday, the campaign reached its goal of 100,000 signatures prior to a March 26 deadline. The White House has 60 days to respond, but an accelerated conversation could already be happening.
