One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a 3v3 fighting game, and it’s in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The trailer confirmed some of the game’s playable characters, including main character Saitama, the cyborg Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Speed o’ Sound Sonic, and even Mumen Rider. The end of the trailer shows the season 1 big bad Boros, perhaps an indication that this game will mainly focus on the first season of the anime. Unfortunately for those who prefer the anime’s English dub, though, the audio will be strictly Japanese.

What’s interesting about the trailer is that it appears to accurately portray Saitama, which potentially presents pretty significant balancing issues. As those familiar with the anime will know, Saitama is essentially invincible, and is able to kill any monster he comes across with just “one punch” (hence the name of the anime/manga). Considering this, it will be interesting to see if Saitama will truly be invulnerable in the final game. If so, it seems unlikely that he would be allowed for online play, but who knows how Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco will ultimately handle Saitama’s implementation in the game.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows isn’t the only One Punch Man video game that was announced recently. A turn-based card game RPG called One-Punch Man: Road to Hero was also announced for iOS and Android mobile devices, with that game set to launch sometime after the conclusion of the anime’s second season. Meanwhile, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is currently without any kind of release window.

Overall, it’s nice that One Punch Man fans will finally have some video games to play based on the anime. Fans had previously made do by creating One Punch Man mods for other games, like the Saitama mod for Fallout 4, for example.
