It appears as though Saitama will actually be a support character for some of the other characters in the game. He will be jogging to the scene of the fight, and once he gets there, control will switch over to him. At that point, players are able to finish off their opponents with a single punch. Considering this, it appears as though One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will be more about surviving until Saitama arrives as opposed to beating an opponent outright.

This will at least apply when playing the story mode or fighting against AI. How Saitama will be balanced in multiplayer remains to be seen. It’s possible that he won’t be available to play as directly in the multiplayer mode, or will instead be some kind of power-up. Until Bandai Namco shares more information on how Saitama will work in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows’ other game modes, fans will just have to speculate.
In the meantime, the new One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows trailer reveals three more playable characters for the upcoming fighting game. The first is Tasumaki, aka Terrible Tornado, whose psychic powers will make her a formidable opponent. She is joined by Silver Fang, who has lightning-quick combos despite his old age, and Atomic Samurai, who will fight with a sword instead of just his fists.
Fans can expect even more One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows characters to be revealed in the coming months, along with more information on how exactly Saitama will be balanced.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
